Every night when the weather is nice there is a sort of spontaneous international picnic and tower-watching party on the grass of the Parc du Champ de Mars near the Eiffel Tower. We went there with a VirtualTourist group and had a pleasant time just standing or sitting around with hundreds of other people (it’s a big park) and going ouu and ahh once an hour when the tower started sparkling for a few minutes.

Things to Do

The Lourve

The Lourve is not only one of the most beautiful palaces in the world, it is also one of the largest too, situated in the heart of Paris, France it attracts thousands of visitors each and every year. This 13th century building is one of the best-loved places in France and it is easy to see why; the amazing architecture, the magnificent artefacts inside the building and the history of the building itself gives the Lourve an awe-inspiring atmosphere that is not to be missed.

Le Chateaux De Loire

Le Chateaux De Loire is a valley which holds within it three beautiful castles all of which are easily accessible should you wish to venture that far into France. This however is not all there is to see here; Chateaux De Loire is a prominent area in France which consists of over 300 manor houses (Chateau) all of which are beautiful in their own right; this is a popular area for the wealthy and you would need to have considerable wealth to live here although visiting is obviously free of charge. It is a beautiful place with rolling hills and winding roads and it has some stunning hidden gems but I will let you seek them out for yourselves.

Eiffel Tower

An obvious entry into this article I know but it wouldn’t be the same without this monstrously tall structure on the list. As you all know the Eiffel Tower was named so due to the architect who built the tower itself. It has stood the test of time by still being a huge tourist attraction (or rather a trap these days). The Eiffel Tower is a beautiful monument that is definitely worth a visit on your way through Paris. There is a small fee to pay to climb the tower but once at the top you will be glad you climbed the steep steps to the top. Don’t miss it if you have not been before.
