Ssese Islands

Many would find it unfathomable that a group of the worlds most luxurious islands can be found in the heart of mainland Africa, however Uganda takes pride in the fact it has lake Victoria, one of the great African lakes and the source of the river Nile

Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is one of Uganda’s highlights, and is found about 176km from Kampala (the Ugandan capital). The sanctuary is run by the Uganda Wildlife Authority in collaboration with the Rhino Fund Uganda and Ziwa Ranchers Limited. Here you can enjoy seeing families of rhinos in a protected habitat.

Lake Victoria

Source of the Nile? Check. Massive diversity of aquacious species? Check. Ridiculously massive inland African lake? Check. Named after the city where I live when I’m back in Canada? Umm… sure. In short, I just want to be able to spend a little bit of time on one of the most famous lakes in the world.
