  • From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very special, all the staff know your name and you are given a welcome guide of the hotel with some refreshing drinks after a long journey! Our welcome was done by Neha & David, 2 staff we ended up speaking to and having a lot of banter with during our stay!

  • Perfect. Everything has been said. Stayed between 7th-13th Sept 2014.Great if you want peace and quite. Only negatives: Food is expensive and hotel too remote for alternatives. Taxi too expensive as well, unless you are used to the extravagant lifestyle and cost.

  • The service here is extraordinary. The hotel and its setting are fantastic but the staff are what makes it something very special. Nothing seems to be too much trouble and everybody takes time to know your name and to remember how you like your breakfast, or your room arranged or whatever it is. All this is done in a quiet and unassuming way that rarely seems over the top.

Mauritian Street Food is amongst the best in the world – there, we said it! A unique mix of Creole, African, Indian, and Chinese influences, the dishes offer bursts of intricate flavours. Spices, colours, and flavours come together to form a scrumptious (yet little known!) cuisine. Where else would you find a French bouillon laced with Indian spices?

It would be unfair to leave Mauritius’ beaches out of this list wouldn’t it? 

Some of our favourites include the Belle Mare Beach, the hidden La Cuvette beach in the north, and the rugged beaches of the South, especially Le Morne. If you love kite-surfing, Le Morne is the place for you.
